Muppetry in Motion - December 08 edition
December 2008 - Edition
Hello all MWG members, well thought it was about time I got around to writing the first MWG clan newsletter, as such its gonna be quiet a biggie so get yourself a brew and pull up a chair!
To start I think as its newsletter numero uno a little bit of a history lesson is in order so:
The Muppets with Guns (MWG) were formed from the ashes of Ordinary Aged Gamers and Smokin Aces. They merged together and created this amazing clan.
The Clan formed with only 5 members but has gradually hunted down other Muppet Lovers and brought them back home.
The Muppets Clan is a fun clan that plays for the joy of playing together with other Muppets. We do play with the other alien clans and we do play some serious games and clan matches but mostly we like to play games with real Muppets.
The Muppet Council consists of a Muppet Five Pointed Star setup. The Muppet Council is TheMightyBoosh, Malfius, Dongziller, Alteregofilter and Lemony Vodka.
Firstly a little clan news from the opening to present day I’ll start with promotions and leavers:

A big thanks to all the clans we have played they’ve all been top friendly clans and I hope we get some matches again soon in the future.
Battle of the Muppets
The battle of the muppets V Die soft recently took place on COD4 and it pains me to say the council were undone by the Servs loosing 3 rounds to 2 making it a serv revolution once again. From the recent poll mr ROBAFET was voted MVP for the battle performing valiantly and really upping his game for the battle. Well done to all that played was great fun and Hodgy was on his usual lethal form! All those who missed out keep your eyes open for the battle of the muppets VI coming soon on the forum, but be quick the places go fast.
Squadron recruitment
The squadron section is now up and runnin folks and recruitment for lots of different squads is now under way. This feature is basically for anyone who wants to play a game in a team as a clan match or just for fun that isn’t one of the 3 main clan games (ie COD4, COD:WAW & GOW2). Currently there is a FIFA09 squad run by boosh and a Rock band squad run by alex, if interested please pop on the thread and join in. Coming soon will be a Halo 3 squad run by Dongziller and maybe a UTIII squad also run by Dongziller. Any member can start a squad on any multiplayer game of their choosing, so what you waiting for? Get to it.
Main Clan Games and nights
OK there seems to be some confusion surrounding the official clan games and nights so I’ll try and clear that up for all you muppets out there. The official clan games are
Call of Duty 4
Call of Duty World at War
Gears of War 2
Basically this means on the clan practice nights – every Thursday and Sunday night we will play one of these games as a clan and we will play the majority of our clan games on these titles therefore it is recommended that clan members try as hard as possible to have these games in their collections so they don’t feel left out. The game played every Thursday and Sunday will be rotated to try and make sure no one feels excluded from the group.
Game Retailer affiliate
OK I have managed to get the MWG an affiliation with the online game retailer shopto.com. For everythin bought through the links on our forum we get £1 to spend on competition prizes! Yay! Our current total is ‘drum roll please’ £3! So we could do with a bit more please
Visit this thread on the forum for the links

Friends of Friends feature
Well had a few peeps say to me recently Dong your so good lookin how do you do it and I say i use the MWG Friends gamertag to make use of the friends of friends feature so even when my FL is full as long as I’m on the MWG friends friends list I can make sure I can get in contact and invite all MWG members to games so I’m all stress free! You too could be this good lookin – just add MWG Friends to your friends lists
XBOX.com recruitment thread
Callin all muppets please visit our thread on xbox.com here -->> http://forums.xbox.com/8/22670948/ShowPost.aspx#22670948 and just make a quick post daily to make sure we stay on page numero uno of the clan section so peeps get to see it, thanks

Member of the month
Ok all that news is a long slog but as it’s the first one it shouldn’t be that long again next month, so time for some fun! Member of the month this month is ME!! Yes sir Dongziller, why you ask? Simple I’m doin this newsletter to a tight deadline and no time to interview anyone else lol next month will be a proper one and I’ll even do a poll for peeps to vote for their candidate
Name – Dave
Location – Cheshire, UK
Gamertag – Dongziller
Previous Gamertags – MoNkEyBoY 007UK, Smokin Munkey
Consoles you own – Xbox360, PS3 & Wii
Favourite Game – COD4, it has it all big guns, great maps, you move as fast as stu in a pie shop and possibly the greatest FPS multiplayer game of all time.
What kind of games did you play as a kid? – Sonic seems to stick out in my mind, remember goin round my cousins as a nipper and playin sonic the hedgehog on the megadrive and watchin video nasties and transformers the movie (cartoon version with 80’s hair rock sound track). Then one xmas my folks got me a megadrive and I hammered sonic, columns, road rash and others. Moved on to the PS1 and 2 and played various titles and then a lengthy spell on Football manager on the PC for many a good year before succumbing to the 360 and my first forray into online gaming. Before LIVE I was a very casual gamer - the odd game here and their very rarely finished a game, but when I got on live and discovered forums I never looked back. Made some great mates and made some enemies but I’m glad I plugged my 360 into my router that day back in then.
What kind of gamer are you? – I think im the angry gamer (ask any muppet member! lol) but I do like a giggle and when I’ve gotten over the fact I’m as much use as a cock flavoured lollipop I enjoy my gaming and definitely the sociable side. Also has to be said I’m a self confessed gamerscore whore, anyone wanna boost?
PS3, 360 or Wii? – 360 hands down, where I know most people and can really enjoy the sociable side of gamin that the other two formats just cannot compete with.
Favourite Muppet? – The 2 old geezers, not sure of their names, make me laugh my bollacks off though, probably because they remind me of me on LIVE!
Favourite Football Team? - The Mighty Liverpool FC, Stevie Gerrard is a leg end
Favourite Tipple? – Magners cider or any lager really, can do shorts but only towards then end of the night
Well I think that wraps up the first MWG newsletter quiet nicely, lots of info contained in this issue which I hope you find useful though I realise very text based, next month should be a little better. Just a few acknowledgments, big thanks to the following peeps:
Mr boosh – excellent job on forum layout, graphics and competition organising mate big thank you for all your efforts I know each and every muppet appreciates all the work you put in
Ego – great job on helping me and boosh run this parade and top work on the website mate, keep up the good stuff
Stu – Cheers for takin on the clan match organising fella really does take a weight off me and boosh and we really appreciate it mate.
Lemony/Malfius – Cheers for helping the council run smoothly and helping with ideas to keep the clan fun and fresh for everyone.
Alex – Nice job on the reviews fella, great great work
All muppet clan members – this place is nothing without you all, thanks for posting on the forums and signing up for the comps and clan matches we appreciate it we really do
Forum members – thanks for supporting us by posting on the forum and playin in the game nights we love you all

Firstly let me say that was very well written and the monthly newsletter is a big addition to the clan.
Also id like to say to Mouse that you have done a fantastic job with the look and organisation of the clan and forums which in itself is a hard task as clans these days last as long as king size fag so a big pat on the back there m8.
I no Dong doesn't do much but i suppose he good to have here as he makes everyone else goodlooking.................only kidding m8 lol and after the SA you have really turned it around and made a success here m8 so massive respect.
You may no i stepped down from admin due to health reasons and time restrictions on live but i do hope to return to the clan one day, don't no when but hopefully it won't be long.......
So Hail to the Muppet clan............

cheers mate, we've come far from the SA split and original MWG forum collapse to where we are today. Makes me proud to be a muppet and great to be in an active clan and not a stagnant little forum *cough*C4G*cough*

Re: Muppetry in Motion - December 08 edition
TBH I go on a fair few clan sites and everyday it surprises me that most sections on here have at least 1 post a day.
I go on other forums and they have 30 confusing sections and last post goes back a few days or more sometimes...
Not saying the forums are perfect, it could still do with a little redesign and clean up but maybe we'll do that next year when its not so hectic and busy.
And as much as the council do a lot of work, all the Muppets/forum users, pop on every now and then for just a view and sometimes a post which is what matters the most.
I know not everybody posts but the views statistics are fab on here as well...
Its a great pleasure to be around so many good gamers, even though I've not been on much recently its nice to know that if I went on I'd have a tonne of other fun guys to play with...
much appreciated...

Re: Muppetry in Motion - December 08 edition
Brilliant piece of work chap.
Have to say - once again as I've said it before a few times - that I kinda lucked in to the muppets when it was kicking off and I've not stopped going on about it since.
Great ethos.
Great atmosphere.
Great bunch of guys. (sounds like I'm turning to the dark side!)
Long live the Muppets
