Fifa 2009
Well I am a former PRO EVO SOCCER fanboy and have hated Fifa with a passion for a very long time.
How things have changed, this is by far the best fifa game and not only that its probably the first time Fifa has really out done PES.
The game feels fairly realistic and plays pretty well. There are improvements that need to be made, i still dont feel the satisfaction I used to get when scoring on old PES. In PES it was always about amazing build up play and wondeful goals, Fifa is getting better but I still dont find its as balanced in attack/midfield/defence as old PES are...But with PES going off its greatness in the last 2 installments its time for Fifa to take the mantel of best footy game.
The graphics are pretty good and the sound/commentating is the best out there. The constant team updates are a great idea.
Theres so many modes to play with its hard to ever get bored.
My only complaint is Fifa servers are just so temperamental at times its annoying.
The multiplayer is really good with much less lag then on PES and playing with friends is brilliant and even better when its 2v2, 4v4 or even mroe if you can get that many...
A very good game 8.5/10 from me

Re: Fifa 2009
I myself have got both football games and both have there ups and downs.
hands down, to play against your mates, pro is class, and Always a good laugh, but fifa this year has been sweet the online play is brilliant, and even though its nt my cup of tea the online team play is something new and unique which sets it apart from the bog standard generic football game.
Ive played fifa a lot more this year though, and konami need to sort themselves out in readiness fir the battle next year before they lose more customers to the dominant fifa!.

Re: Fifa 2009
Fifa is good still loose in many areas compare to PES.
I just hate PES online 60% laggy games and some real cheats in scoring from certain ways.
I've been PES fan since ISS and it saddens to see PES lose its greatness.
Its not terrible game and the mechanics are still their it just lacks the greatness it had and its getting more and more arcade. Before it ws balanced really well between arcade and sim.

Re: Fifa 2009
I still own both and intend to keep both. I really enjoy every element of FIFA more than Pro Evo, except the Be-A-Pro/Legends Mode. Yes, the FIFA one is on a better game, and you get officia licensed teams and whatnot, but the Pro Evo one lasts much longer, and its not a case of being very good very quick. You have to work much more to play well, as opposed to getting sympathy XP (which I'm pretty sure you get in FIFA). The only downside is if you are benched, or subbed you have to watch the rest of the game - which I suppose is realistic, and can be time consuming - but I don't mind. Keeps me in the right mindset.
