I went to woolworths the other day to buy an advent calender.


There was nothing in it and all the windows were boarded up

lol...

I've heard that one soo many times now, but it still gets a giggle from me...

I bought one from Harrods......cost a feckin fortune!!!!

Got mine from Thorntons was ok but bit bland...

Jokes aside peeps,spare a thought for all the poor buggars who worked there and were given there cards right before xmas(i personally have a freind who has been at the Hanley branch for 19 years) not a nice position to be in with a family,mortgage,cat,dog and wendy house

Yep big shame...
I would hate to be in the shop retail business.
Next year their are gonna be big closures.
The shops have to pay 3 months rent in advance in January and many places are gonna struggle...

My auntie worked there for 26 years it is a pretty bad deal :O
and i work at B&Q and things are'nt very rosy either!
lots of redundancies and more planned for February!

Look out for Debenhams and M&S is all I've been told.

Its gonna hit big next year.
I've said it a million times but please put some money away even if its a five a week (not in to a bank) buy a good disguise cash box (soup tin or something).
Just in case, nothing might happen and you might be fine but the rollon of the economy have only hit certain areas the snowball effect hasnt happened yet!
