Was a good giggle guys and good practise for team playing i'll look forward to the next one.

Bloody good clean fun all round....although the lag did get a bit.....irksome toward the end.

I'm not looking forward too much to the COD4 one, why do I have to be against HODGY of all people?!?!?!

wetting myself laughing that I took over from Hodgy, I can imagine Ego's face when he realized that Hodgy had been replaced by ickle old me, especially when I arrived in the game and immediately blew Ego up with an accidental grenade. Sorry for not being Hodgy folk. The last round felt like an episode of chorlton and the wheelies with people appearing and disappearing at random. LOL

Had a proper good laugh last night all i can say is sorry to my team during the dame round for being such a numpty by killing my own team i hit the knife button and at that exact second a team mate would stand between me and my target! Had a good time cant wait for the next one!

Mate,, there was actually choice of replacements and I specifically
asked for you.... we'd already lost the match and I thought youd be
perfect to cheer me up,,, I was in a foul mood all night. Killing me on
arrival was actually the perfect antidote as I just had to laugh....
that final round I died 8-10 times and 5 of them were by my own team
mates.

Right here comes the moaning!

The whole night was a disaster for me personally, and judging by some
of the comments on the night we were all getting a tad miffed! The only thing that
went our way was getting first choice of hodgy and that turned out to
be a curse.

First round even though we won was hard work due to the lag which was
awful,,, second round we did ok up to the standard 750 point mark,
still in with a shout at least, then we realised that it wasnt a points
cutoff but time which boosh neglected to mention, also was a low health round which also wasnt mentioned,,,, bad booshy. Doubt it wouldve made
a difference to result but definately wouldve been a lot closer. We
were already losing the hodgy advantage and a fair few of us couldnt
get out of the spawn point coz the doors kept moving! Third round hodgy was a ghost, spent more time rebooting his router than firing his weapon. This was pistols and knives S & D round,, which we thought would suit hodgy to a tee with his rapid pad!, Shame he wasnt there, and being a man down on S&D is always hard. Round 4 we gave up on hodgy and got Robafet in,,, we had to win this round or the night was lost,,, we didnt. We got murdered. Typical HQ game where the team who gets the first HQ tends to run off with it, we got a couple of points back but it was never likley to be a revival,,, the masses of team killing didnt help either... i was guilty of singeing a few muppets with my scorchio too. Round 5 was a disgrace and its normally my favorite mode,,, NINJA SHOWDOWN.... usual gaggle of muppets outside stabby stabbing,,, i run into a crowd of enemies,, stabbing like a wildman only for it too give me 3 team kill streak and a huge respawn wait. People were appearing and dissapearing at random, most people couldnt kill anyone,, the lobby was full of 12 - 15 kills except boosh who had close to 60!!! With about 2mins to go I suggested we unleash the artillaries/ dogs and start firing our weapons... so the last 2 mins were technically cheating, but we had already lost and we were releiving the tension!!! I take full blame, sorry.

If this had been a clan match Id have quit and got either a new host or thinned down the crowd... just goes to show how cool the muppets are though,,, coz we stayed and battled on even though we were very frustrated. And it its own sick twisted way it was still a lot of fun... thanks to all on my team for keeping the fight going all the way to the end and making a right royal spanking bearable...

Big congrats to Booshes team who all played really well... I know you guys were suffering with the lag too.

Next time mabey we can sort the teams out the day before so we can pick n choose rounds / modes that suit our own teams.... and maybey less participants coz the lagging drove me bonkers!

yeah chill mate I felt your pain and I constantly hid in a corner at times when Hodgy was dropped and invited him loads.

Second next time 14 max. 16 was too much and lagged a few times.

Third soz for not saying I'd changed the round but we hit 750 with 3 mins left so we buggered ourselves up and I didnt see this as a mistake I saw the first round as a mistake as we always have 10 mins and no point cap but I forgot to change it. I think its more fun and tense to have timer.
I'm sure I mentioned lo health though but maybe some didnt hear it.

Fourth picking on the night is better than day before. Why well imagine if you chose team day before and your star man is adsent and you have to have a sub. If its done on day then you knwo exactly who to pick. I think this should be done evry time.

Fifth the last round was a joke but it was just supposed to be fun so didnt restart even tho I had left streaks on.

I still think it was a eventful night and really got some people together and for me it only dipped in enjoyment around S&D as I spent most time trying to ge Hodgy back in, but I know some peeps really enjoyed that round.

Theres not much i can do when a man drops, like i say on a few occassions I sat back and just kept spamming invites into him.

Anyway I am sorry for making a few mistakes I didnt do it on purpose. I cant understand how you was annoyed in the 2nd round it favoured you as we hit 750 and was like shit we gotta survive another 3 minutes.
But anyway I dont wanna create a drama out of a fairly enjoyable evening for some...

lol, aye was a bit of an over the top lobby boys but had fun, well if i was on ego's side i wouldn't maybe but thats COD for ya, been on both sides and gettin a pummelin can get annoyin - remember the serfs v council when hodgy first joined! lol i think we can learn from the match and implement a few changes, a lobby that size makes gettin info across hard as well as everyone talks over one another at times but hopefully we all had a small bit of tittery/.?

Wasnt a moan at you DM,,,, sorry if it came over that way.... was just getting all our excuses out there.... coz I felt we had a good team and just got hammered every round and allthough your team played very well I think I speak for our team when I say we felt we were fighting your team and the enviorement. When your getting battered and youre not sure whats going on it can get a bit, err... annoying!

Fair point on the seletion thing, mabey a compromise... pick teams on the night then have five mins alone with your team to have a quick private natter about maps/modes/tictacs??? I find in the lobbies not that many people speak up..... could just be a big ole chieftan and tell em what to do!!!!

We were playing WAW tonight and there were a lot of connection issues, wondering if the servers are a bit twitchy too.

Yeah, it was pretty good fun even with the lag. I had my 20-year-old gamer son sitting there telling me what I was doing wrong (standing still too long, not looking in doorways as I pass, not looking where my gun is pointing but looking everywhere else). He even tried to take my controller away from me to play! I told him hodgy was our best player and he said - arrogant SOB he is - "there is no best player, only players better than you". Har har. I've tried to talk him into joining our clan, but he is extremely anti-clan. Claims he doesn't have the time, being a Uni student and all... :-) Shame, too. He'd give hodgy a run for his money.

Im not that experienced with the clan thing,,, in fact this is my first, and last I think so what im gonna say isnt based on much but gut instinct...

this place dosent feel like a clan to me, more a community who happen to have a clan. Its way too friendly and despite my earlier rant the results are not the important part... doubt many clans out there are like that.

Looking back if I wasnt the Chieftain and sort of playing for my pride I would have tried to make it fairer maybe by dropping to spectator or something.

And aye tis def more a Community than clan. The clan matches are their just for a few Muppets to test their skills for me inter-clan matches/competitions are more what the place is about.

Sounds like your getting it, learning to check doors, use radar, use cover, play with the style that matches your weapon. No point running through compact areas with a sniper rifle etc...

I think the connection issues arose out of being too nice. We had a full room, then a few people showed up later than expected, or we started earlier, and therefore were obligated to bring them in (Fair's Fair). So as opposed to the desired 12, we had about 14-16 odd, which does make a huge difference.

I agree with Ego to a degree, a few of the rounds were ridiculous with lag (Ninja Showdown was the best example) and it kind of put a downer on the whole experience.
I actually found losing in the pre-match run-around (that CTF on Outskirts) quite a lot of fun, just the right amount of people to keep me on my toes.

However this ain't a bad thing - far from it - it merely is an indicator on how to make the next night better for everyone.

yeah you learn from mistakes...

- Next time 12-14 max (14= no tanks or streaks)

- To start at 8pm (8.15pm) shut off point. Pick teams on night then play 1 practise round with sides and discuss maps/modes to play.

- I'l quickly read thriough the settings each round.

yeah had fun even with the lag,was quite fun in the last 2 mins of ninja when we was loseing badly and we decided to cheat and when 1 of the opposeing team was running up to stab me id shoot him in the face,sorry to the guys i did it to but did give me the giggles when we all did it :2111:

I wasn't even expecting a game that night myself. The invites were a surprise and I didn't even know it was an official game of sorts which is why I had asked if my son could join in. I didn't have to play if it was too crowded. My feelings wouldn't have been hurt. Those of us left over could have set up our own little game - we could do that if there are too many for a match.

Also, I've never been in a clan before, but I know some young people who are. Our clan is very fun and informal. I have a friend in a very serious clan - highly competitive. She is 21 and in the PMS clan, which is a world-wide all-female clan with some 800 members. Only a handful of members are in the UK however. Mostly Stateside. Her local group is Halo 3 only. She had to trial for one month, at least 8 hours a week playing on a team with a team leader who rated her. Then she had to get on a party chat and interview. Very serious stuff.

Oh, and BTW, on the final ninja battle, not "everyone" was running around firing. I stayed true and only used the knife. I felt duty-bound to stick to the rules, even though the lag was killing me.

lol thats a bit too formal for me reb! i couldn't be arsed with all that for a clan! its supposed to be fun after all surely
