Re: Signiture makers
When you say websites what do you mean exactly?
I'll tell you how I do it:
Pick a subject.
Use google and get any pics/screenshots that take your fancy.
Then you crop and paste together (you might not want ALL of a pic, but just certain parts of it). Then save.
Once you've saved, you can experiment with the different brushes and effects, as long as you don't overwrite your original you can do what you like. It's all about experimentation to begin with. Once you get your head around Layers and how to make a pic that has no background so it can be dragged on top of any pic you'll be set.
If you google for some custom brushes (depending on if you're using GIMP or Photoshop) they can come in real handy. Also look for some beginner tutorials. Google is thy friend. Thats what I did. I know mine aren't pro stuff but they're getting better everytime!
If you want, we can do an MSN muck around some time. You got a mic for your pc?

Re: Signiture makers
Lol ok m8, soz shoulda seen that. Right. Photoshop is the best but it's expensive (unless you have friends or a torrent client {wink wink}) whereas GIMP is freeware. It's not as immediately easy to use as PS (at least I didn't find it easy) but it's just as powerful as PS when you're used to it. If you look on the Sig of the month thread there should be a link I've posted to the GIMP website to download it.
As for the pc mic, I bought a headset from PC World for about a tenna and if you're pc/laptop is fairly modern it should have a mic and headphone jack. And getting voice through MSN is straight-forward enough.
