Dig dug is available on xbox live marketplace for 400 details here Dig Dug is a old school arcade game from the time of Pac Man and the likes. The xbla version looks pretty similar to how it always did and the cheesy music is still there for the die hard fans. The aim of the game is to kill the little enemies by inflating them with your pump (que Lemony!) 4 pumps will make an enemy pop (que Lemony!) and die but you can inflate them to stun them to get away or pass through them unharmed. For a very simple concept the game is infuriatingly tricky at times as the enemies have Duracell batteries shoved up there asses making them go quicker than you and they can pass through the dirt without tunnels! That said it is a good old school game and stays true to its roots.



Dongs Final Thoughts

A blast from the past here – still looks and plays as it did back in the day. Great trip down memory lane but with all old favourites it gets boring quick and left to rot, maybe games like this are best left to found memories.

pretty simple game really – levels are virtually identical just the number of enemies changes.

Shocking really but a blast from the past, still would expect better on a mobile phone these days – a revamp would have been good (see jet pack refueled) though the game may have lost some of its charm then.

cheesy sound track – gets you humming along

pretty addictive if not annoying gameplay.

3 - Lasting Appeal

gets old pretty quick, one playthrough is enough.


OVERALL - 4/10 - POOR

A classic game, but a game of its time. It's good to see that games like this aren't left to rot, but this one was not one of my treasures even at the time.

Nice review mate. Graphics are a difficult thing to score on a game like this. Like the girl you had a crush on at school, it looked great at the time, and you might think you still want a go on it, but after all these years you'd only be disappointed.
