Re: (Poker) Round 2 Table 1 PLAYED
Right, this never happened, anyone who was there it was a figment of your imagination!!! Bennett will back me up on that!
Ok it did really, Dong was having major issues with his connection earlier in the night so i decided to move Dong onto my Round 2 table and i moved onto this table (everyone plays each other a random amount of times so it isn't too much of an issue) and Mal didn't reply to my PM or Mackams PM and invite so not sure if he wants to carry on? Got Westen to play for him, but could look at having him replace him if he doesn't carry on.
I'll post the results later, just wished i kept my mouth shut about Mackam earlier, which happened to be waaaay before i knew i would be playing against him

I got Alone in the Dark as well, just never got round to trying it!
There's a new CSI coming out, some really hard achievements this time, like:
Watch the opening to CSI: Deadly Intent
Visit a case file
Watch a movie from a case file
View the options screen
I'm so getting it!!
I'm gonna overtake you over the weekend as it's my best chance to, you won't keep up the social life for long!!!
Alone in the dark is so shit, I have had it ages but struggling to finish it. Not that its hard, but just case its so crap. The PC version about 10 years ago was better than this.
I might get that as well then!! Did I mention I have Monday off work?

What comes around my friend!
I thought you were subbing at first, even funnier now!! Poor Bennett that was cruel cards, had really good hand and could only lose to one card. Poker can be cruel game.
Nice to dump Jinksie out early doors, pressure on you now fella!!

We can do some boosting on Monday then
I wish i was subbing!! Bennetts knock out was just horrible, but mine wasn't much better!! there was only 1 card that could knock me out after the flop and it came on the turn

Got to be well gutted with that. Good job it was tournie not just normal betting as you would have put house on 4 aces there.

Even sicker that it's a 10k buy in though and you're playing to win 6+ million, i would probably stop playing if that happened to me!!

96% favourite after the flop and i still lose to both you and Ego!! really need to get you off host!
You also want the table updated so you can go top, i'm not even in the top 4 with a game more played
Gonna keep my mouth shut before the League Cup game, just in case you manage to pull off a cupset

Re: (Poker) Round 2 Table 1 PLAYED
it should be a good game, looking at going, depends if i can stay at my mates house, though she might be working I was so stupid i thought Sun FM was a crap name when the weathers always so shit, then she informed me it was because it's in SUNderland
You would probably have a better chance at Villa Park, we're great away from home as we're better counter attacking!

Re: (Poker) Round 2 Table 1 PLAYED
Lets get this over and done with then!!
The game started with Westen subbing for Mal and Jinksie taking Dongs seat.
Ego won the 1st hand of the game and it was fairly quiet for a few hands until a monster pot developed between Ego and Bennett. With an A 3 4 5 of hearts on the table Bennett raised it up, Ego, with advice from his missus re-raised and then used a fine speech about hoping Bennett didn't have the king of hearts. Bennett did and pushed all in which Ego called, Bennett turned over his nut flush with the only card that could beat him was the 2 hearts, Ego turned over his cards to show the 2 of hearts to make his straight flush to knock Bennett out in 5th.
Ego then decided to tighten up and was only drawn into the pot when he was on the big blind. With maybe some insight into what was going to unfold i mentioned that i hate playing this hand, before calling, Mackam then called and Ego checked. A flop of 2 9 9 was seemingly perfect for my K9, with Mackam holding pocket 10's and Ego 10 9 there was only 1 card in the deck that could beat me!! As you can guess, the 10 hit the turn which prompted an all in and 2 calls leaving Mackam with over half the chips on the table as he tripled up and left Jinksie out in 4th.
After some back and forth action Ego lost a lot of his chips when he decided last time it worked so he would take his missus advice of try it you never know! Eventually Ego had to make a push and was beaten by trip aces to his pair of aces.
This left Westen and Mackam heads up with Mackam holding a significant chip advantage, Westen got all his chips in a few times and either won the hand or Mackam folded but with the blinds so high at that point he needed to win 4 or 5 hands in a row to have a fighting chance. Eventually he made a stand with K 9 and Mackam called with pocket jacks, the jacks held up and Mackam claimed 1st place and 10 points.

I thought second place for me was pretty good for relative newbie, who didn't understand what you were saying half the time.
Re: (Poker) Round 2 Table 1 PLAYED
lol sorry about using poker terminology too much mate, if you ever want to know what i'm talking about feel free to ask and i'll say it in english
This format is good for beginners, small tables, quick action and not taken too seriously
edit: or maybe it was just the brummie accent you couldn't understand!!

Re: (Poker) Round 2 Table 1 PLAYED
for once i wasn't actually having a dig at you!!
Good for beginners as there is a lot of action and the more hands you play/see the better understanding of the game you have.
It's not easier to win, hell i could quite easily finish bottom of the whole thing!!
