Hello again everyone I am returning after changing intranet provider, Ive gone from virgins 50mb to sky and my line can only give me 4mb .

Have I missed anything?

alright again matey... im with Virgin.... worst choice iv ever made... they sent the mech out 4 free to keep me as a customer, hopefully its fixed the shit connection and upload speed

no a white netgear...

Thats ok, they gave me a netgear and it was terrible, it suffered from
really bad packet loss so they had to replce it with a different more
expensive d-link router.

yeah I have.... Ive had problems all over the place..... I ended up not playing online at all coz the lag was so bad, the PING was going over the 1500 mark

this wont help with your online but it will help with your pc, if you are using netguard or whatever anti virus virgin package for free.. get rid of it and install something else, when I used it I was getting absurd results just like you, this made virgin send an engineer out and they discovered a fault on my line which gave me much better speeds but still really bad ping times, in the end I removed netguard and ran some tests and the pings were much better, I re-installed it and they shot back up.

Packet loss was still evident though and this was making live play up for me, no one could hear me so I switched to sky... huge loss of download speeds but at least my connection is stable and its much cheaper!
