Round 1: Chelsea(Council) vs Arsenal(Serf)
The Council had the lions share of possession in the early stages, with good pressure in midfield, and within the first 7 minutes, they grabbed a gool. Nicholas "Boosh" Anelka sent the ball over the line and sent the Council fans into raptures. Things went the Councils way for the majority of the half, with a few attempts by the Serfs being saved or sent wide. However, when Theo "Webby" Walcott used his pace to good advantage to overtake the last defender and send the ball into the net past the keeper to make it 1 -1 at half time, the momentum looked like it would shift. The Serfs came out strong and an aerial pass from the Serfs looped over the last man nicely for Robin van Turtle barely 3 minutes into the second half, the lead was handed to the Serfs as they took over control. The council fought back though, and when a barrage of efforts where defended in front of the net, the ball fell to Michael "Rossinio" Essien who blasted it in the bottom corner to draw level. On another attack from the Serfs, Nicholas "Boosh" Anelka managed to get himself sent of for a questionable tackle, but that didn't stop the council from grabbing anoter goal. A cross from the wing hit the woodwork before fallng for Didier "Mackam" Drogba to finish. Things looked to be wrapped up drawing near to half time, when Webby Walcott managed to equalise, yet again making the most of his pace. Barely a moment later after kick off, Webby Walcott broke through again and scored an injury time winner, which shocked the fans and players alike
Score: Council 3 v 4 Serfs
Man of the Match: Webby
Round 2: Real Madrid(Council) v Barcelona(Serfs)
The El Classico got off to a tentative start. The Council took again a good chunk of possession and the first real chance came in the 27th minute when the Council's Shot blasted off the woodwork. Aside from the odd one or two fouls, nothing of great note happened again until Lionel "Webby" Messi managed to get past the defence and slot away the first goal of the game in the 43rd minute. The teams went into the half time break thining they could do more, and indeed the second half was a drastic change of pace. Both teams went out full of intent but Zlatan "Turtle" Ibrahimovic bagged another Serf goal on the 52 minute mark. On Barcelona's next possession, Gonzalo "Rossinio" Higuan managed to bypass the defence and slot a goal away in the 55nd minute, thanks to an excellent through pass from Ego(correct me if I'm wrong), giving the Council a ray of hope. For the next "25 minutes" the game was very even until eventually the Real Madrid defence crumbled and Lionel Webby scored in the 81st, followed by Thierry "Slowdog" Henry in the 83rd and finally Yaya "Jarrdon" Touré in the 90th. Never before has such a spectacular defence collapse occured in the El Classico, and the Real Madrid fans will hope it never happens again.

Round 3: Spain(Council) vs Brazil(Serfs)
Desperate not to lose every game of the series, the Counci lcame out strong yet again, and after the majority of the possession went their way in the first 20 minutes. The Serfs managed to make the most of theirs and Luis "Webby" Fabiano managed to break through and score in the 30th. Webbiano was looking to be, once again, a potent threat up front. However in the first half, he was silenced from scoring more, as was everyone else, despite their best attempts. In the early stages of the second half, Robinho, also known as Slowdog, managed to score another for Brazil. Luis Fabiano was subbed off for Daniel Alves to make the most of the pace advantage, and this paid dividends as on the 69th minute, Daniel "Webby" Alves scored by running past the defensive line easily. 3 minutes later, the Red mist descended on Ramires (dunno who was playing as him) as he brutally chopped down the Council on one of their counter attacks. Again, in an attempt to get back into the game, Council took the ball into the area and this time when they were brought down it was a penalty! Or was it? Video replays show that despite indeed losing possession in the Area, the foulwas not for the tackle on the player in possession. In a moment of madness, two Brazilians had an altercation and one slide tackled the other. Despite not affecting the attack in any shape or form, the Referee gave a penalty for Dangerous Play in the Box and David "Rossinio" Villa slotted that away with ease. Straight from the kick off, however Dani "Webby" Alves galloped past the team (one of whom was making notes on the whole incident) and slotted away the final goal of the match in the 79th minute. The remained of the game nearly descended into anarchy. There were a lot of fouls, and if enough time was added on, could have resulted in a Brazil forfeit due to the volume of bad tackles and the number of yellow carded players. However, at the full time whistle the Serfs marched off victorious.
Score: Council 1 v 4 Serfs
Man of the Match: Webby
OVERALL SCORE: Council 0 v 3 Serfs
OVERALL VICTORS: SERFS
Comments: As a member of the council, its predictable I'll say "I feel aggrieved" and to a certain extent thats true. We had a lot of possession and if we were actually better with it, I doubt we would have lost. However, kudos to the Serfs who played an absolute blinder to win, as they used their skills to make the most of their possession and actually get goals. Also, a big round of applause to Webby, who pretty much single handedly destroyed the Council (curse him!). Anyhoo, despite it all I enjoyed it, although probably would have enjoyed it more if they were as close as the first match.
Well played one and all, and I look forward to the next one of these...
If you enjoyed this - stay tuned! For there will be a FIFA 10 League starting up very soon. We're still taking signups!

Re: MUPPET UPRISING - FIFA 10 (Winners: SERFS 3-0)
Was a fun night especially first game.
The defence in second half was shocking but you pressed us well and made us lose ball and your though balls were deadly.
Was fun just some of the goals seemed pants as our defenders seemed to be playing a crazy offside game near the half way line at times.
Can't wait for league.
I was gonna setup on ewn forums but with the forums still probably a fortnight off for all members I reckon setup on here soon.

Re: MUPPET UPRISING - FIFA 10 (Winners: SERFS 3-0)
Great write up Ross - was a brill night and quite funny that i got subbed onto the serf team at the last minute!!!
Thought id point out that 2 of the Messi goals i scored were headers and the Dani Alvez goal from the centre was dodgy bcos i went to finesse shot the keeper but pressed lob finesse and it slotted in perfectly (but was accidental).
Dong and Ross should have been noted for their physical tackling as they prevented quite a few more goals. And Mackam is brilliant at tackling his own team on public matches afterwards to nick my goal and assist!!! I was walking the ball in the goal bcos i thougt if id shot id miss, then the fecker slides in on me and hugh i think it was tapped it in!!!
On the whole the council enjoyed much more posession and must have hit the woodwork 20 times but the counter attacking football by the serfs won the game.
And lastly Boosh cold blooded doesnt work on fifa as im sure you were caught offside with Anelka a dozen times lol.

I would like to note that none of my tackles resulted in a Yellow Card and about 90% of them were NOT free kicks... :P

Re: MUPPET UPRISING - FIFA 10 (Winners: SERFS 3-0)
aye good games chaps defendin is hard on this - gave Ross a hard time for his second half display with the defence in the first game (thought he was just being a jesse) then went to centre back and realised our back line was just mental - always one wingback miles behind the back 4 playin the forward on for crazy through balls makin it nigh on impossible to keep it tight - still good fun

TOO RIGHT IT WAS...A BEAST OF A MEATY TACKLE IT WAS TOO
brilliant matches and i cant believe the game actually said i was man of the match for the Barca-Real match as i thought myself that Webby was awesome in every match...just happy to play my part and hack down Boosh in the first match off the ball and from behind (Yellow card!!!)and to get him sent of for doing the same tackle to me.

With our defence Dong something not right when played as a online team play. Always happens, one of us must be doing something funny to muck it up but can't work out what it is. Play head to head late last night and back 4 solid as rock won 2-0, no matter how many through balls they tried I cut them out. I reakon it is the X (2nd defender press) button pulling defenders about.

Much as would like to, I cannot let hugh take the blame for abidal. That cart horse was under my control - not sure if it was him or me that is crap, probably a mixture of the two. Can't believe I didn't get MoM for that performance.
