Re: WINGMAN HINTS & TIPS
Don't run out into the middle of open spaces hoping to saw someone, in fact don't expect to ever saw anyone, as the moment you start to saw someone, their wingman always gets you with a rocket or shotgun LOL
Edit - my actual point was sawing is only really an option if the person's wing man is down already, and you're sure there is no other teams about. (as I learned the hard way)

Re: WINGMAN HINTS & TIPS
lol...
Ya thanks for the tips...
Ok some proper ones:
1) Stick with your team mate, only ever split up to flank enemies you know the lcoation of. Remember most teams stick together so splitting up will mean you face two enemies alone.
2) Rolling is important when you need to get out of the way of enemies, grenades or rockets and blast radius fire.
3) Outgunning someone from distance doesnt work much on gears2 (unless you located a big as weapon). You need to out think them, so you get a chance to down and then execute.
Best ways:
a) Setup perimeter defences for charging teams, this involves placing your grenade/smokes on walls so when they go past it explodes and knocks them down.
b) Draw and flank. Use one guy to draw fire and get enemy interest. Then use your partner to try and outflank him, most maps on gears 2 have ways to get round side or back.
c) Assaulting is a good way if you know enemies are positioned bad, outgunned, or in a closed space. Just remember to look and shoot any enemy grenade mines and also when assaulting a known location, throw grenades in and if 2 entry ways assault different paths with partner.
d) Attacking from elevated positions also can give you a big advantage.
4) Talk enemy positions with team mate as best as you can.
5) Remember most of the weapons you start with are (based on paper, rock, scissors mechanics) each weapon is best at certain positions and distances. Chainsaw for up very close attack, shotguns for close to medium, and rifles at medium to distant.
Remember you can't kill with a rifle from distance as the guy is likely to be downed but then picked up by team-mates. This is why its good to draw fire and use a team mate to move in.
6) Find the weapons around the map and try and remember weapon locations after a round. The scattered weapons are usually more powerful then what you start with. Some take time and skill to use properly.
7) If you are moving forward but have a lot of ground behind you that enemies might attack from. Find a funnel doorway, stairs/alley etc and place a mine. This will stop a rear attack that you are not expecting.
8) Remember spawn locations and be prepared right at start especially with small maps. If you spawn in middle, run to the nearest corner. As being in the middle is asking for trouble.
9) Try and use cover as much as possible, remember most cover you can move between with out leaving cover and running.
10) Turn your sensitivity up on your player sensitivity, much better on faster.

Re: WINGMAN HINTS & TIPS
cheers boosh, will keep em in mind for next game, need to learn the weapon spawn points, as I haven't a clue where to get weapons, the other night I played pretty much with just my Buzzsaw gun (whatever it's called), and it didn't do me any favours LOL

Re: WINGMAN HINTS & TIPS
never stand behind or infront of rob when he is reving a chainsaw.
by the way what i like to do, is if you only have a stun grenade, warn your partner what you about to do first. blind throw a grenade into the enemies position as soon as it leaves your hand get out from your cover and run to them. by the time you get there its two easy point black shots at helpless targets on the floor! :D if they do get up you always have your team mate there to back you up!

'dont soil your armour, it's hard work running around with shit in it.....and you stink to....
my tips...
oh, stay away from your own wall tagged grenade/smoke/ink, and tell your team mate what and wear you have tagged.....
2nd tip if your not that confident, don't use the shotgun, stick with the lancer (thats the chainsaw/machine gun thing ma jig)
3rd tip, don't perform exceution moves, just shoot them on the ground when close.. as you are subject to injury and attack when doing so.....

Re: WINGMAN HINTS & TIPS
Stick together and talk to each other. Better to have one person lead and other to follow. The person following keeps other guy in his sight and tells him if he falls behind. Nowt worse than getting into a fight to find your wingman ran off to get an ink from other side of map!!

Yeah Bennett is right bcos i finished 12th in the league last time and this time me and Sammiad won every round. Best bet is to play public matches as they are a great way to learn the game.
