Been listening to some Scorn recently :D
izorpo, theres a jesu gig coming up in London, I wanna go but... it's London : /
I love Scorn - I hate it that all gigs end in London - Manchester is viable for all us northerners!
I had a chance to see Godflesh in the early 90's - they were suppose to be opening for Skinny Puppy but didn't play the US as they had visa problems

Re: What Are You Listening To...?
By the way, Godflesh and Nirvana were on the same record label for a breif period of time, and ended up playing a gig together. Apparently when GF were playing, Krist Nosovelic (sp?) was just in the back of the stage, moshing his head and loving it.

one of my fav Primus tracks is Too Many Puppies - saw them live on Lollapooloza back in the day - could feel the bass in the gut I also really liked Here Come The Bastards
but for me - nothing like Sonic Youth on a Sunday morning to really fuck you up

Re: What Are You Listening To...?
HAHAHA! We saw them the other week I don't know when the tour finishes I probably wont see him till then but Yeah Greg lives near me and we go drinking down pub and partying and that. I know he put a few people on the guest list for the Manchester and Sheffield gigs so I could have a word? Don't know where they're playing now though, not that interested honestly, not heavy enough. Good live like though

Re: What Are You Listening To...?
There current drummer is very funny and absolutely nuts he's played with most bands you could think of from that era though why he's left most of them seems to be a mystery. Their tour bus was quite comfy I'd say it was nicer than his house but thats a lie We were round the other day and my mate jof found his summer house which I use to take girls to and was shouting at him about how nice his shed was for about 3 hours. Too pissed but very funny to watch

Re: What Are You Listening To...?
Well no I don't know Paradise Lost as a band I know Greg one of the guitarists. I have met the band once. I became friends with him cause he'd moved into the area to be near his son and we were both in bands and liked playing guitar. He's really down to earth just a Halifax lad, his Mrs seemed to think I didn't know he was famous but maybe that attitude of not caring or wanting something from him cause he was in a band was probably how we ended up as friends
If it helps my credibility at all I have beaten Bowlong for soup at pool cause they were crap and I started on Black Rebel Motor Cycle Club cause I thought theyw ere a group of wannabe ponces

that's normally the way to get on best with famous people, at the end of the day they're people too and just wanna have an ordinary existence at home.
you played bowling for soup at pool?? lucky fucker! can't believe you started on BRMC either
Re: What Are You Listening To...?
When I lived in Leeds I used to pretty much live in a pub over the road from the Uni and lots of bands played there so some would be in the pub before hand. I was just happy to talk to a few and not so happy with a couple

done that in Cardiff with the CIA... went to the pub over the road before a gig and met a few bands, never started a fight with any tho
Re: What Are You Listening To...?
Rhys Fulber of Front Line Assembly / Delerium / conjure one bought me a beerski, and also gave me loads of tins of boddingtons. Was my proudest moment even if no one has ever heard of them - nice bloke too - very down to earth. oh and Pete Steel of Type o negative nearly repaired my mates car in the snow on rock city car park (he was on his back under the car) - When he couldn't fix it, he invited us onto his tour bus for a beer - nice of him - even tho he is a very cheesy man. - they were playing there the night after. Oh and gitane Demone from Christian Death slapped my arse wearing a gasmask while playing in Christian Death's own support act in disguise LMAO
We had a little pub in Stoke called the wheatsheaf, was a top local venue, tiny, smokey place, but seemed to get tons of bands for some reason. Front line Assembly were playing London Astoria, Nottingham Rock City, and this tiny pub in stoke. It's now a witherspoons and not in a good way

usually the way with wheatys... either that or full of miserable old folk
anyone heard of The Divebomb Revolution? or Traitor Born? got mates in both of them. my proudest moment would be chillin out back stage with Finch at TJ's (coincidentally TJ is my nickname) in Newport and being invited down the pub afterwards cuz they liked me
