Best Horror Movies
Hiya, I'm wanting to watch some good horror movies, ones that actually scare you not the ones that are pathetic, i tend to laugh at those ones.
Now seeing there's alot of men here on this forum, i am pretty sure all you guys can think of a good movie for me.
I like any type of horror movies, although my favourite has to be Tartan Asian Extreme movies.
Now please don't go picking Blair Witch Project coz that is boring. :shit:

Re: Best Horror Movies
The ring (original jap)
Into the mirror (original)
suicide circle
deathnote
The orphanage (not seen myself, but supposed to be wicked)
Two sisters(original Korean)
let the right one in (polish film about a vampire - not scary, but very classy 10/10)
Dark City - not striclty speaking a horror, more noir sci - fi, but great
Pans Labyrinth
Audition (jap)
30 days of night (loved the comics too)
Angel heart
there are a few new and old to go at, as a general I stay away from hollywood remakes of eastern cinema.

Angel heart is more of a thriller with a voodoo influence.

Re: Best Horror Movies
Errrrr I always liked Dumplings although again more of a thriller. 3 extremes has a cut down version of it and a decent Mike Tekashi movie called BOX on it!
Jacobs ladder I always really liked and The Changeling for classic horror/thrillers you can't get much better.
Ju-On was good, The Eye as well was alright. I feel that theres not a lot I'm scared of even though Horror is my fave genre The only film I've been scared of in my adult life was Ringu and that was because I had never heard of it and was lent a ripped copy of the Japanese films on VHS about a year before anyone ever heard of it over this side of the pond. Watched it on my own and when it finished (about as soon as the credits rolled) My girlfriend called me. I Shit myself!

Re: Best Horror Movies
I could have sworn you said "Pingu"... LOL!
I'm not a Horror fan myself, probably the scariest thing I've seen would be 28 Days Later, made me jump a few times but meh...
The whole Horror-Boo Scary-Raaargh-Blood and Guts Genre doesn't appeal to me, sadly.

Re: Best Horror Movies
I liked The Descent. Not sure you'd call it a horror tho, kindof survival horror maybe? Really got into it and it made me jump a few times (but that could have something to do with the missus jumping!)
I'm not much of a horror movie fan tbh coz, on the whole, they just don't scare me.
Scariest movie I ever saw tho has to be Mama Mia. How that thing got past censorship is beyond me...

Re: Best Horror Movies
A Strange but very good film is called "Battle Royale" its hard to find or download but worth it, a japanse film about these kids that are forced onto an island and basically told that the last one to survive lives.. They aint shy of showing gore and blood, been a hell of a long time since I watched it
Good luck in your search i share the same fondness of horror movies...

Japanese horror films are the horror films to watch.
Hollywood horror seems to be pants now.
Havent watched a good horror in years.

1st Nightmare on Elm Street
Rosemarys Baby
Exorcist
Alien 1-3
Evil Deads (tho more funny)
Nosferatu
Halloweem (orig)

lol...
I watched the RING way before it was famous with my brother (VILLAGERR). Its such a slow built horror film that builds brilliantly. After it finished me and my bro went bed and my bro had his TV on all night...lol...I wasnt scared at all....honest!
Though I think he was scared to have TV on and scared to switch it off. Should have shut the arial down so it went fizzy.....lol
brilliant film...

Dogsoldiers is one of my all-time favourite films! Although there's a scene in the woods when one of the army guys is carrying his rifle (SA80) in a left handed stance. If he did that and fired it he would get a redhot casing in the face lolz!! SA80 is right hand only!

ICHI the killer is awesome as is Jacobs ladder, both in my fave films ever.
HAHAHA Villagerr you seem to have gotten off light. Me and my older brother told my little brother we were all werewolves and we were raising him for meat. It went on for quite a while . Think he almost had a breakdown
