never been a star trek fim fan (enjoyed some of the series) but tempted by this...

It's worth it, I think. Not a massive Star Trek fan, but I liked it!

hav seen this now and if not seen i would go watch even if your not into star trek you will like better on big screen as a mate had on dvd huh so would think that was pants on a small screen

Didnt like Cloverfield but millions did so I put it down to hype and fact I watched it on the small screen.

So tempted to go and see this but missus is not having it...

My Mrs Really waqnts to go see this and I've only heard good things from both Trekkies and people that wouldn't be seen dead at a comic book convention :P

Watched Star Trek thought it was pretty damn good, although full of tongue in cheek bits. SPOILER ALERT!!!!







Like when they jump down to the platform and there are 3 guys that go, one wearing red who weve never seen before. I said to Mrs ICHI if he dies straight away I'm not taking this film seriously anymore! And he did and it was in joke after in joke after that. Having Scotty talking about how much he missed food got a big laugh!

I like the reference to Enterprise in the film as well, with Scotty talking about demonstrating his new theory on Admiral Archer's Beagle. Made me laugh that bit.

Yeah he was funny just thought that the beginning of the film carried so much weight it was brilliant and then it turned into a game of spot the in joke. I still enjoyed the film and urge others to watch it. But it's not the greatest film of all time like some ahve touted.

Yep agree with Ichi 100% on the above. Did turn into a bit of an in-joke towards the end, gotta add something for the true trekkies I guess - or their disruptors would overload .

Cracking film though, would definitely try and see on the big screen, JJ abrams works the magic again. 9/10
