a course in diplomacy by lemony
nearly pmsl when playing cod4 tonight with lemony, about 5 of us where playing headquarters , we got completly whooped so we left the game to join up again in the lobby as lemony had invited mcdoom in . as were waiting some one we didnt know had joined our party and was playing what sounded like bad radio through the headsets, no one new who he was and after a bit of verbal from lemony he decided to file a complaint against him using the abusive text and voice bit . after a bit more verbal the noise hadnt stopped so lemony's shouting at iamnerd to boot him and i quote "boot him boot him boot him" he then gets booted at which point mcdoom appears and ask where his mates gone . the mate in question was the one who had been abused and booted by lemony. and to top it off aparently the lad didnt even have a mic on ,so it wasnt even him that was causing the noise fracas!!!
to be fair to lemony he did say that he would send the lads mum some chocolate as compensation for the abuse.although the tight git would only stretch to a small toblerone.
so a big thank you to lemony for the highlight of my day, cheers mate.

Re: a course in diplomacy by lemony
Excellent, Lemony should become a diplomat with those skills (but maybe just to a country that really really likes toblerone)

Re: a course in diplomacy by lemony
I'll have you know I did also apologise....although a touch late possibly.
Glad you enjoyed it though Hughes, I blame it on all the drinking I'd done while watching the Lions score 10 tries against the Golden Lions in SA.
And my intention had been along the lines of a bar of Green & Blacks and not the aforementioned toblerone.......never toblerone.......I had a bad experience with a toblerone once and I still can't sit down properly........

Re: a course in diplomacy by lemony
Why would you sit on toblerone it's pointy? I just eat it. I'm sure you would have know it was going to be a bad experiance before you tried it. I looks like a set of choclatey great white sharks teeth. There's not one point I'd considder going through with that. I hope you learnt your lesson

Re: a course in diplomacy by lemony
Toblerone is evil evil chocolate,,,,, first off the points scrape the roof of your mouth then the little bits get stuck in your fillings!!! But it tastes fab so you keep eating the whole damn thing even though you know its gonna hurt.....
Re: a course in diplomacy by lemony
There is no pain free way to eat a toblerone, you just have to accept that it is all worth it

My other half doesn't like toblerone, so i might get two.
Not my fault if I've got to eat them both!

Re: a course in diplomacy by lemony
Defo! I had been to a friends birthday do on my own once, and was given 2 slices of birthday cake to take home for me and my other half.
She was already asleep when I got in, so I put both pieces of cake in the fridge, and went to bed.
The following evening I went to get the cake, only to find it had all gone.
Apparently my other half assumed I had been extra generous, and brought her 2 slices of cake, so she'd eaten them both.
I am still reminded to this day that it is my fault for not telling her this.

Re: a course in diplomacy by lemony
Oooh don't get me started on the "nicking foodstuffs" thingy....oops, too late.
When I was 7 I had a history of filling myself up at meal times by neckingmy fizzy pop or squash or what-have-you before finishing my food.
One dinner time I decided to try it the other way round because it was one of those incredibly rare occassions whwer we'd been given real coca-cola!
I got through the whole plate without touching my drink and just as I was swallowing my last mouthful my sister reached over, grabbed my glass and necked it!!!! Not only that it was the last bit out of the bottle so no more for little me.
Her excuse? She thought I didn't like it because I hadn't touched it......I've still not forgiven her and it gets brought up every Christmas.....AAAARGH!!!!!! I can feel myself turning green and bulgy as I type!!!!
Bloody cow, I'm going to ring her up right now, hide my number, put a cloth over the mic and throw some random abuse down the line at her!!!!!!!

Re: a course in diplomacy by lemony
My sister is older than me but only by 2 or 3 years......can never remember how old she is.....or birthdays......anniversaries......anything to do with dates basically.
For Christmas each year someone in my family awlays gets me a new diary pre-filled with the relevant important dates.....which I then invariably lose!

Re: a course in diplomacy by lemony
I'm rubbish with Birthdays and stuff too. And have at least 3 of those 'important dates' books as well!
Not food related, but my sister was 2 years below me at school and once told the one of the school nutters that I had said i could beat him up (I hadn't).
First I found out about it was when he and his friends ambushed me on my way home. I tried to talk my way out of it through a shrewd combination of reasoning, logic, deplomacy, and little bit of manly crying, begging and trying not to wee myself.
It didn't work.
Luckily for me, the moron decided to headbutt me, and broke his nose on my forehead.
I've never run so fast in my life.
My mum was not pleased with my sister, and I'm still plotting my revenge on her some 15 years later.
