Count of Monte Cristo
Count of Monte Cristo
Alexandre Dumas
Yay finished it, near 1300 pages. Phew!!!
Awesome book and have to say was pretty gutted when I came to the last chapter.
I wanted it to go on and on with Edmond Dantes new adventures with Haydee but that is I guess not apart of this story of revenge.
It really touched me though and easily in my top 10 books Ive ever read.
Really impressed me and found myself not being a religious person really admiring his devotions to god and that good will happen if he persists with his will and the will of god!
None the less one of the best revenge books I've ever read and higly recommend.
A real page turner and not at all hard to read.
10/10

Never read this one. Am tempted now. I find I don't read anywhere near as much as I used to. Might have to start having one evening to devote to it.

Lack of commute is another reason I don't read as much as I used to. Can't get into a book when I'm driving!!

Re: Count of Monte Cristo
well yeah but after you ran me of the road the previous 5 races I decided I best try for you first, and it was a destruction derby that I went for you in

So, you admit going for me!!!! I knew it! After an unfortunate series of accidents, you deliberately tried to run me off the road, using the Destruction Derby as an excuse to scupper my chances.

I admit that after you delibratley put me in the barrier in the first destruction derby I aimed for you in the second

Re: Count of Monte Cristo
I can assure you that I didn't go for you. If you recall, that incident robbed me of my crack at third place overall. We kind of got magnatised. I couldn't turn away, couldn't slow down.

Re: Count of Monte Cristo
lol...
Have to have another grid at some point, I missed out on last one. Though maybe turn collisions down or off.
As for Monte Christo its little slow at start but its an important part of the story and is the base for the rest of the book.

Re: Count of Monte Cristo
Maybe keep collisions on, but turn damage off? That way you'd still have to swerve to avoid Kermit, but wouldn't get put out of contention if you did happen to clip him.
There was talk of trying a PGR4 comp instead. I don't have it, but saw it cheap in Tesco's the other day.
