Grand Final!!!

Final Mackam vs Focuszetec
3^rd Place Playoff Jinksie and FragKebab

We decided to do the final and 3^rd place play off in a 4 player game as it would be a good bit of fun.

We started the match with just me, Jinks and Frag as a warm up until Focus came and start their 3^rd place play-off match. With Mackam getting the achievement for max stats just before the game much to the screams of fix by Frag and Jinksie!!

We started on Sawgrass and I did not write anything for this as expected it to be a warm-up but we got through the 9 so it counted towards the 3^rd place play off

Final scores were
Mackam 28
Frag 36 (theme for the night)
Jinksie 41 (and sandy shoes)

Focus then joined and we started the 1^st/2^nd round

Again we played Sawgrass as I forgot to change it! DOH
Mackam and Focus started well picking up an Eagle on alternate holes. Jinksie and Frag decided to go onto Hole 10 rather than play with us as we smell!!
On the third hole Jinksie goes close to a hole in one only for Mackam to go past and drop right in there HOLE IN ONE!!! (First one I have had!)
On the 5^th we all get a birdie and then Frag takes the lead of the 3^rd place playoff from Jinksie after he gets a double bogy (could it be all over in 2 rounds!!)
Focus then goes off the course and Jinskie gets back in the game picking up a shot on Frag. The final round saw Jinksie and Frag draw at 36 all and force a 3^rd round. In the final Mackam took round one with all birdies or better including the HOLE IN ONE (can I say it again!!)

Next hole saw Pebble Beach back nine
Focus started well picking up birdies with Mackam only managing Par’s. Jinksie also started well rather than shank into trees!! The rounds went by with some safe play without much trouble or water splashing!! Focus getting consistent birdies and Mackam playing crap only managing Par’s and spanked the ball into the water in frustration on final hole!! Jinksie and Frag kept it close but Jinksie took it at the end with some good birdies. The key to this round was consistent play with Focus not showing any sign of making a mistake and Jinskie doing the same.

So final round and all to play for Jinksie and Frag it was 1-1 and also a tie, Mackam and Focus also at 1-1.
We started well with Mackam, Focus and Frag all getting birdies but Jinks only managed a Par. Next hole saw Mackam, Focus and Jinks all get an Eagle and Frag a Birdie so all square again!! Mackam Focus and Jinks then got Par and Frag a Double Bogey. Next hole saw Frag look like he had thrown it all away with another Bogey and Mackam taking a lead as he got a birdie. The next hole saw Mackam tee off straight into a tree (leaves made of metal I tell thee!!) and drop out of bounds so hitting 3 off the tee but scrambled to save Par which luckily Focus also hit. On the next hole Jinksie managed to launch one into the distance, problem was it was out of bounds giving Frag a glimmer of light. The following hole all Birdies!! Hole 8 and things are hotting up as everyone got a Birdie except Jinks to leave the final hole Mackam 1 ahead of Focus and Jinks 1 ahead of Frag (how did it end this close?!)

Everyone took a while off the tee not wanting to feck it up, in fact Focus and Mackam looked like they were holding a door for nobody. Eventually they get on the green and (correct if wrong here) Frag almost got an Eagle chip in ? But Jinksie chips in and takes 3^rd Place. Mackam and Focus both hit the green in two…………………………………

And both sink the put!!

Well played to everyone and everyone who cold be arsed to read all of this. Could not believe all positions up for grabs on final hole and only 1 shot in both. Really enjoyed this and may have a think about Ryder cup style comp but would need some help so you three and anyone else interested then will give it a bash. 2009 Tiger woods is great game and about £10 on eBay!!

Can't believe i hit a 5 over on 1 hole!!! I did ok when i stopped taking risks but i couldn't help myself

You get max stats and then hit a hole in one, fix i tell thee!!

If there's enough interest will be happy to help organise a ryder cup style comp

This was great fun, and well deserved win by Jinksie. Mackam glitched his stats and shots, so I don't think should be allowed to win.

Will do mate, Jinks will have a chat with you about a Ryder cup style thing but will wait till COD and Poker are finished so we don't have too much at once. Also means I can practice them hole's in one a bit more

well played all sounds like an entertaining comp and last set of games.... I shall purchase this so I can swing my club around

Cheers Al will do, worth getting this Meltdown cheap now and makes a relaxing change from the norm. (although not that relaxing on back nine of final when you hit it out of bounds!!)

aye.... tis a good game in general... altho i have destroyed a club or two putting 1 out of bounds on the "real life version" (I know there's no such thing as real life but still...)

I was a really good night, sorry so late I had brain fade and forgot until i got a message about it, DOH! It was a really close game between me and mackam as well as between Jinksie and Frag. Can beleive it took me 3 put to hole it on the hole that mackam mucked up on, if i had putted correctly I would won it think i had a bit of a moment
