Re: Rate the last film you watched
okay saw Antichrist earlier - the clit bobbit scene made me squirm but I dealt with it then The Hubb puts on some film called Hedda or Header - anyway they should have called it skull fucking - basically consist of some redneck using poer tools to make a precision hole in some womens head so that he can have sex with her brain - lovely I tell you lovely
swear this is the last time I let him watch films early so I can play L4D later

Re: Rate the last film you watched
A friend of mine kept banging on about Antichrist a bit ago. Surely nothing can be scarier/more disturbing than Willem Dafoe's wrinkled fizzog?!

By fizzog, I mean face and not scrotum, just to clear that up. Although I gather you see that too.

actually I think the penetration scene was with body doubles - but yeah man (there isn't a smiley to adequately convey what I thought of the film)
Re: Rate the last film you watched
Watched "Zombieland" the other day and thought it was OK, quite funny in some parts! They must have looked at left4 dead and the dead rising games for inspiration, because some of the kills were great! 8/10 over all from me!

American History X: great film, one of my personal favourites. bit cringeworthy in places, but overall a pretty moving film... especially at the end

AND YOUR RATING?
was it better than 'romper stomper' in your opinion? i didnt like either...same as 'this is England'...dont get enjoyment out of those right wing thug comes good at the end type movies...i know there tryin to get across a message but all it mainly does is become propaganda for the BNP shaved head brigade

oh yea i forgot that... 9/10 cuz it's got Edward Norton in it, otherwise it woulda been around a 7.
I've not seen Romper Stomper or This Is England so i don't know mate. i only watched American History X cuz it was on telly years a go n my brother said it was a good film, so i went out n bought it for £3.
You seen Green Street? i thought that was a big bucket of shite and i'd put it in the same kinda category as these films.

Black Hawk Down 9/10
Absolutely love this film... possibly my favourite of all time, being based on the events of the Marines mission in Mogadishu (Somalia) on October 3, 1993 and the courage of the marines to go back in and bring them all home.

"Pandorum" watched this tonight, a bit like the "Decent" but in space! A bit weird and predictable but a few nice touches here and there, worth a look but not that good in the end! Overall 5/10 from me!

i'd give it 10/10...probably the best war film ive seen, and you should try the tv series generation kill...just as good

Pretty much what I thought too, bit of event horizon without the horror aspects I'd give it a 6/10 good sunday morning viewing.Darko wrote:"Pandorum" watched this tonight, a bit like the "Decent" but in space! i've never given a film 10/10, this one they wittled it down from 100 marines that fought their asses off to 39 and they left out the fact that the Pakistani troops saved the Americans (yet again they try and make out they are the greatest) the first, might not be important to everyone, but the second should be... the Americans are forever denying involvement of any other troops in anything they did, yet they deserve to be recognised.
As for generation kill... i love it!! not missed a single episode yet, even watch the repeats too
Re: Rate the last film you watched
well mate America ALWAYS re-writes history to serve its own purpose...look at WW2 films, especially Enigma for example.
Can you imagine the ending if Pakistani troops saved the Yanks...wow...teenagers in middle America a the movie theatres would love that
too be honest i never ever believe any film that claims to be based on factual events...again its the writers angel, and how many times has that been distorted. Peoples beliefs and opinions distory movies that are based on events...or sometimes they deliberatly lie as to appease the audience they want to attract

Re: Rate the last film you watched
true, true. the writer can only write about what they were told and found out, which comes from various people and they need to mix and match bits to get it all into one decent storyline for a movie and a lot gets lost there.
believe it or not this film was based on a book... which is meant to be the story of the events of the day and was supposedly written by a marine that was there. i always thought it was the other way round.
i like the way loads of Americans genuinely believe that they won WW2 single handedly and if it wasn't for them saving us then we'd be german speakers. and it's all thanks to the stupid ass writers not wanting to make America look as bad as it is

"Gamer" Watched this tonight and it was alright i thought, enjoyed it! Decent enough story and if they didn't get the idea from COD, they should be sued for being lying bastards! Check out the tea bagging scene in the first battle and all the little icons that flash up in the game while Kable, aka Gerard Butler is on the rampage!
It gets a 8/10 from me, well worth a watch!
