Transformers 2

saw this yeaterday not as good as the first one too many seual referances and they have tried to make it too funny rather than the odd bit like in the first one and they also should have introduced more autobots rather than thodd one they did which really sploit it BUT.......... i bloody well loved transformers as a kid and the first time u see optomus prime transformer gives me goose bumbs and anamation in the fights is a lot more clear and the fights seem to be more fighting based than just gun theres a bit at the beginnning that looks SO COOL dont want to spoil it by saying what it is. The plot takes a long time to pan out and the film is a little bit long winded so for the peeps that dont love transformers like me 7/10 but for me 9.8/10

they have also left it open for a third one so i hope they dont leave it as long for this one as i carnt wait for it already 232323

Personally I loved Transformers ROTF. I gotta say, the first one I was a little miffed in parts. Like JD I'm a massive tranformers fan (got all the original series on DVD) and the fact that Optimus got his arse kicked without really landing a blow on Megatron just stunk! lol!

1984 - 2/10 - Really wanted to like this film as the book is superb but I felt it never really explained what was happening in the film and it didnt do the book justice. My wife watched the first half asking what was happening and why as the film didnt make sense to her.

Thing I hated with Transformers (1st) is the baddies (Decepticons) had no personnality they really really sucked and it annoyed me as I lvoed the baddies the most especially starscream, soundwave etc...
Also why are all the baddies grey, I want some colour...lol

Will see 2nd soon as Im a huge transformers fan, but I just wish the film was a little more scary and had attitude. It felt a little too kiddy at times. The cartoons/comics were scarier than the film.

I was really dissapointed, maybe I just didnt get it as a film but I felt a lot of the things in the book werent conveyed very well so if you havent read the book the film may seem better or it may be completely impossible to get all the things that are portrayed in the book.

I was kind of hoping that there would be some decent extras with the dvd too, which might have tipped the balance in it's favour, but when a dvd advertises 'Scene Selection' as an extra.....
Has anyone refused to buy a dvd because there isn't a scene selection function?

Exactly. That's the other give away. Interactive menus and scene selection - You can choose to not watch parts of this film.

How the menu is supposed to work wothout being interactive, I don't know.

I have always wondered what a non interactive menu is on a dvd that they need to point out that inclusion of interactive ones

I've got loads of dvds, and don't think a single one of them has non-interactive menus.

In fairness though, one of them does autoplay the film. I could only access the extras by pressing the Menu button whilst the film was playing. But, the menu, when I found it, was interactive!

Definately!

I watched the dvd of that Mel Gibson film 'Passion of the Christ'.
Waste of time.
No Easter Eggs.
No alternative endings.

Still, they set it up nicely for a sequel.

lol!
