Re: Rate the last film you watched
Good job he's not in it then
I quite liked Passion of the Christ in a way, in that regardless of the fact I have no beliefs in god or jesus being the son of I do believe that lots of people were treated that way and the man probably did exist and go through that horrible trial which in a way makes it kind of powerfull?
I watched Twilight last night, that was poorly written badly filmed drivel that I expected but had second thought cause so many grown men seem to like it and as expected it was a film for teen girls 3/10 I can already see whats going to happen in the inevitable sequel

Re: Rate the last film you watched
Can anyone remember a vampire film with Grace Jones in it, I think?
4 College guys go to a stip club, one dies, one gets turned, and the other walks off at the end with the girl, and his mate follows below in the sewers, 'cos they stay friends, even though his a vampire.
Ring any bells?

It's an old one. 80's, I think.
Any takers before I give in and search the interwebs?
Also, is it bad that I now consider 80's films to be old?

dangermouse13 wrote:Thing I hated with Transformers (1st) is the baddies (Decepticons) had no personnality they really really sucked and it annoyed me as I lvoed the baddies the most especially starscream, soundwave etc...
Also why are all the baddies grey, I want some colour...lol
Will see 2nd soon as Im a huge transformers fan, but I just wish the film was a little more scary and had attitude. It felt a little too kiddy at times. The cartoons/comics were scarier than the film.
Soundwave is pretty cool in the new one but again it mixes that line where Michael Bay wants swearing and action with kiddy bits he must have a childish sense of humour, Plus there are two stereotype black guy autobots who just stink but overall I did like the film a lot and enjoyed the figthts and the story.

Is that it? Such a simple title, no wonder I couldn't remember it. Thanks, mate.
I seem to remember it being a horror comedy, but it might just have been laughably bad.
Still, vampires posing as strippers and owning a bar....
Predated From Dusk till Dawn by a fair distance!

Has one of my all time favourite quotes in it.
The guy that gets turned starts being all vampish and someone grabs a table leg and stakes him through the heart.
Later on he comes back and (I think this bit's right) saves his buddies from a baddy and when they look at him quizically he shrugs and says:
"Formica!!! Go figure......"
Re: Rate the last film you watched
Yeah it was a comedy I think I preferred "Sundown" where vampires all life in a middle of nowhere town drinking fake blood pretending their not vampires. Really like the 2 old guys that run the gas station especially when a customer shows up and he puts on loads of sunblock wears a ginat sombrero and skips across the parking lot to fill his gas tank :P

I've got Sundown. It's got Bruce Campbell in it, so it automatically became a purchase!

Re: Rate the last film you watched
I think the worst vampire movie I own is 'I bought a vampire motorcycle'.
Worst thing is that it's got Neil Morrissey and Michael Elphick in it, so it's like a really surreal episode of Boon.

It wasn't even bad enough to be good. My favorite of those type of films has got to be 'Killer Klowns From Outer Space'.
A classic!

Very true.
I used to walk past 2 video rental shops on my way home, so would always have a rummage through the ex-rental stock.
Some bargains, some utter toss, but always less than £2.50!

Killer Clows is a classic
Zolton Hound of Dracula is probably one of my worst vampire movies just cause it was a hammer film and I love hammer horror. It's just stupid with the nog nuzzleing things and apparently drinking their blood?

Haven't seen that one, although the Hammers are classics. I liked the Frankenstein one with Ralph Bates and David Prowse. Scary, just not in the way they intended!

my funniest horror moment was in hammer's Asylum, where all the wrapped up body parts start to come to life, and you can see someone holding one of the limbs at the bottom of the screen waggling it about LOL
