Night of the Braaaaains 2: The Beta Strain

Round 1 - Charnel Pit(The Pit) - SAVE ONE BULLET
It took only a few seconds before the first team kill by Lam took place. While running for the sanctuary of the upper level, Dongziller was shot in the spine metres away from the grav-lift. His death was avenged by Rossinio. However, while this distraction took palce, Krisa was using the time to start killing us all one by one. A failry decent set of rounds this, as it was a familiar map, and a not-too convovluted game mode. The game, however was dominated by McDoom, who ran away with points, with EG0 and Rossinio left scrapping for 2nd place, with Ego just creeping ahead.

Round 2 - Zombification Outpost(High Ground) - CREEPING DEATH
Stop. Hammer Time...And Stealth... Armed with only a laser, McDoom started as he ended last round, with vicious intent, lasering LAM twice in quick succession at the very start. Before Lam claimed his first victim (that WASN'T on his team) as a Zombie, he had been shot three times. But once the first had fallen, several others followed - with a tainted EG0 finally putting an end to McDoom's onslaught. Stu had a good round, chasing Ego for second place, but alas no-one could stop McDoom from rampaging away with kills.

Round 3 - Salivation(Epitaph) - RAGE
A game mode which features fast pace zombies, and a tad more gravity, Rage ensures that only the fastest will survive. Sadly, the fastest people were Zombies. Before the round began, we had to say good by to the Rampaging McDoom (who had to go for dinner) and Stu, who was replaced by Kermit. The rounds themselves lasted very quickly with carnage galore. Ego, kris and Dong all had excellent rounds with LAM not finishing last for once. There's a rather humerous incident involving Mackam with a Hammer I have a video of, but until the bloody website converts it, you'll have to take my word for it.

Round 4 - Crate Mania(Foundry) - DODGE THIS!(Humans are on a platform, turbo insta-kill zombies await below. Large objects are propelled at the platform, and if you fall off, you are likely to die)
An entirely new concept for the infection game-type. This looked like it could be quite fun, and I reckon it was pretty good - just too quick and perhaps not the best level design. Originally, no one had any idea what to expect. All the humans just stood around tapping their toes until a dirty great big chunk of scenery barrelled most people off the platform into the awaiting arms of the Zombies below. The second round followed the same pattern - however with one stubborn survivor up top, a lot of Zombies became distracted with a rather large football. The final round was a bit better for the humans, with several of them surviving the barrels for quite a while. However, it was inevitable that they would fall and die. Moffy took the most points from this round, with Ego second and Krisa thrid.

Round 5: Rigor Mortis(Cold Storage) - SAVE ONE BULLET
Cold Storage- the Single free downloadable map was host to a "Save One Bullet" round. A round which featured yet more Lam Team kills, and a large frenzy of people trying to navigate the map. Rossinio took advantage of this and manage to rack up a few kills, being stopped by Mackam a few times. Dong and Moffy put in good performances too, but were sadly just short of pipping Rossinio to first place.

Round 6: Tree Rot(Guardian) - CREEPING DEATH
Back to the Stealth and Hammer game mode, the Zombies did a grand job this time, make this map last very quickly. Dong performed very well as a Zombie (scaring the shit out of me at one point), with Robafet and Rossinio chasing after him with points. Probably not the best map for Creeping Death, in retrospect, as hammers = flying off the map - which happened on more than one occasion, still it was pretty good.

Round 7: The Chapel(Isolation) - INFECTION

The Chapel Level was dominated by Dong and Rossinio who held onto Machine Gun turrets for long periods of times racking up kills left right and centre. While everyone else was playing, Lam was going for a casual drive on a Mongoose, getting stopped by Kermit and Dong on each occasion. Its a tricky map if you dunno what you're doing and are a Zombie, as you have to reach a teleporter, or you die again. I noticed on the replay a few people looking lost, still once you know where to go, its quite good. Took a decent amount of skill to swat Lam off the mongoose too, so Kudos to Kermit and Dong who managed it. Dong managed to claimed victory on the map, followed closely by Rossinio with Ego rounding out the Top three.

Overall, I reckon it went alright - aside from the Crate Frenzy round, I think all the gametypes worked pretty well, and I don't think there were any connection issues at all.

Anyway, here are the the Final Scores:

First: Egofilter(21 Points)
Second: Dongziller(26 Points[2 Wins])
Third: Rossinio(26 Points[1 Win])
Fourth: Moffy(38 Points)
Fifth: krisab(40 Points)
Sixth: Mackam(41 Points)
Seventh: Robafet(45 Points[1 Top Three Finish])
Eighth: Jaffacake(45 Points[0 Top Three Finishes])

Yes, despite not playing 5 rounds, McDoom still beat LAM, however if he ahd been playing in all of them, McDoom would have probably destroyed everyone. Still, not to take anything away from Ego, who had a very good night finishing out of the tope three only twice. Also a special mention to LAM, who finished last (despite one competitor only playing two rounds). I herby awared Lam the following Zombie Fodder Award:

I can add ones allready in the options to profiles,,, not sure how to add a fresh template to the list,,, will have a look at it tonight when I get home.

It ain't working yet - basically, I've got to send this site all the links to my Fileshare Videos for them to convert, then they send me a message when they are done. I've sent them two on Friday night and I got no reply yet.

Bungie have their own official render thing in Beta stage at the moment, so in hte future, it should be quicker.

Aye, if you want to view them on Halo 3, just look at my File Share, they ain't well named but I would recommend the "Dodge This" Video. Shows the Non-Zombies first encounter into the new Gametype...
