Round 1 Table 2:

Starting chips: $5000

Everyone started off quite loose and wanting to see as many flops as possible! 1st hand Ego bullied Jinksie out pre flop with an AJ against AQ. Ego and Frag went below $2000 and then they faced off against each other with Frags 4 6 suited hitting 2 pairs and that was enough to knock Ego out in 5th place as his K J missed the flop.

Malfius was the next to go as his AQ off suit was taken down by Dongs 3 5 who turned a straight to take a commanding lead and meant he could carry on being chip bully!

3rd to go was Jinksie who tripled up with pocket kings and the next hand almost went broke with the same hand as he hit trip kings against Frags ace high straight. Jinksie pushed with K 9 hoping to buy the pot there and then but with it being only 1/5th of Frags stack to call he did and turned over Q 6 against K 9, with the flop bringing a Queen.

Heads up between Dong and Frag, Dong started with a small chip advantage but a crazy pot of 20k was won by Frag as Dong tried to bluff him off a weak pair. That put Frag 21k against Dongs 4k and gave him a big advantage. In the end Dong was dealt pocket 4's and pushed and was called by Frags 10 5 suited (spades) and proceeded to make a flush to end the game.

Frag won in the 1st time he played the game!!

Dong would have won if he evolved his charmeleon...

Thanks for the games on this. I have no real idea how I won, and expect the cosmic scales to be rebalanced with an early exit next time!

Well after accidentally going all in and winning a big pot, the cards just kept going my way.
Very very lucky I have to say and Im sure things will be different for all in this lobby next week.

Nice and Quick game, enjoyed it very much.. Not sure how I got the title cheat but it should be lucky after i won on an all in with river queen to save my ass lol and had a pocket aces to finish mackam off.. Think people just wanted to go all in show off thier balls as was mentioned many times..

Great game all and look forward to next round when im sure my luck will change, bagsy first out..

Was a great game and I really didnt think I was gonna win just some luck and some balls won me it

When you and Bennett went head to head I did say if you both go all in whoever comes out on top wins the whole thing. Lucky for you the river dropped nicely.

That isn't a bad strategy 3 handed though, sitting back and let one of the other 2 knock the other out!

I reckon 1 win and a top 3 finish in the rest you will have either qualified or know what you need to do for the final round

Depends on position but unless you got a monster hand it's hard to call 2 all ins, even with a marginal hand like pocket 8's or 9's or AJ you gotta believe you're behind

Saying that i donked off my of my chips even though i knew i was losing!! Couldn't bring myself to fold trip kings even with 10 J K after the turn, was hoping to fill up

I've been practicing my chip pushing technique can get everything all in in under 2.5 seconds now. Just gotta work on my poker playing ability next can't believe I went out on the River again, Ego did it to me on the last time we played to pull a full house out of nowhere! Luck should change by the end of the tourny at least

I stopped playing poker for 6 months because i kept getting bad beats (or so i thought!) then when i looked back i realised bad beats started to make me play badly, though saying that when your pocket aces are cracked 6 times in 1 session you tend to feel the lucks against you!!

Ouch, I keep looking at starting playing properly, Love playing against other people. My Dad got in ALOT of trouble though when he played, Used to work 2 jobs at the time and blew a whole nights wages in one sitting. Luckily my mum still don't know though and we are talking about 18 years ago now

What site/where do you play Jinksie? You do any live games? Casinos etc?

Mainly play at either Pokerstars or Full Tilt Poker, although have a few other accounts elsewhere those are my main 2.

Have a home game that i play once a month and play in a few tourneys in casinos, played in the French and Dublin EPT open in 2005 but not played any big events since then.

Prefer to play cash games or big fields, not very good at single table games. Also love Omaha compared to Texas Hold'em as it's more math and playing your draws not your hand.

Started when i was 15 and when i was 18 i put £100 in pokerstars when it 1st opened and promised myself never to put anymore money in, win or lose. Any other accounts on different site i opened was using money withdrawn from PS site, quit my part time job at uni as i was making 4-5k a month playing poker, it wasn't as popular then and when it started to there was a lot of crap players and easy money!!

As long as you play within your means and never start playing in a bad mood should be fine, lost track of my total earnings but it's pretty sick, shame i never bother saving much money

Might look at getting myself into, Get some mroe practice from XBL for now until I know the game better, Have a reasonable understanding but not got the maths head yet lol

Whats the point of saving anyway can't take it with you when you go

Love a bit of poker, thing that worries me on these tables is that what stops people getting together and talking on phone and letting each other know what hands they have. Seems it could be bit dodgy.
I used to play them on a Sunday and was doing well, but then started going to pub first and betting drunk is bad idea.

haha.... yeah I have played drunk once or twice, but I play inthe Uni poker society so get a lot of live games there... some of em, esp the older ones are casino vets. and are ones to keep tight against, but ive never played 4 the big bucks so to speak.

The math for it is quite complicated so i won't bore anyone who reads this!

basically its the odds of hitting your outs and the pot odds mixed in with implied odds, can be quite complicated. Ever want to know anything just ask

think of it as every out is a card u can get to win the hand... and every card is worth 2.5% (well technically 2.3), so u can work it out from there..

then you use that against the pot odds (or implied pot odds) to determine whether you're getting the right price to call

Although i'm 70% instinct player, if it feels right i don't care what the odds are, play the player not your cards

But in this league it's hard as no money on the line! also it's near impossible to read someone who knows they have no clue what they're doing, my mates like that, can't tell if he's got a hand or not as he doesn't even know!! Best players are the ones who don't have a clue but think they do!
