Re: Results!
I think it's a mis-perception that donkey players are luckier, they just play a lot more hands that need luck, so hit the lucky flops more often than others who would have already folded.
I probably would have folded the AJ tbh i'm quite tight early in tournaments and then move through the gears, will try and see as many cheap flops as i can while the blinds are small and hope to hit with a small suited connector or something, only insta call all ins early on for me is aces or kings, even holding big slick i would be hesitant in calling an all in.
How did the hand play out? All in pre-flop? If he was on the big blind it would be hard to put him on kings, especially as a lot of people love trying to protect their big blind.
1st hand in this tourney Ego raised to 1/5th of my chip stake and i was holding AQ, thought i was ahead but have a hand that could be dominated as well, folded and Ego showed AJ but even knowing that i still would have folded as i like to be patient

Re: Results!
i just read my post above meltdowns, i actually meant:
Best players to play against are players who don't have a clue but think they do
Not that they're the best players they're the fish for any sharks on the hunt

Re: Results!
it played out as.... I raised on the button 250 (7000 stack), with his Small blind, he raised 1000 more... and I raised all in... he was very hesitant to call it but did pre-flop, but I went straight in... I play poker hard or nothing... im aggressive in nature.
Thanks for clearing up the mistake... yeah its dead money as far as im concerned... I just have to tighten up my game as I either come last or come 1st and get the reads more often, but that'll come, must play more live poker tbh

Re: Results!
Live poker is definetly better than internet, can fish for information or people just flat out give it to you!!
Best that i remember is when i was holding pocket aces and some bloke was asking me how he should play his pocket aces, then an ace appears on the flop so i know he's bullshitting so i said i didn't believe him and raised. 2 hearts on the board and a 7,8 so when he asked what i would do in his position i told him i would protect my hand from possible flushes and straights and move in. So he did, quickest call of the night, he shut up until he was knocked out

Re: Results!
Will have to keep an eye out for some live games, Not seen any around Derby, Not really looked though,
Best mess around game I played was with Webby and my dad, My dad ended up VERY short stacked to play the next 5 hands all in without looking at his cards. Yes he went out on the 6th but I was getting worried to say the least

Dong tried his bluff when he was heads up, it failed spectacularly ended up with about 10% of the chips after it was 50/50

Re: Results!
Very difficult to bluff with fictional money. If it is £1000 or so then its a bit harder to call.

Re: Results!
Which is why this is harder that real games!!
Although saying that i bluffed and lost big on a few cash games before, that's the problem when you have a side bet that anyone who wins holding 7 2 wins £200 of everyone at the table

Enjoyed my cameo for one hand going all in with Frag and doubling up. Only for Boosh to turn up and start again. I would have won for you Boosh!!

You only missed 1 round which Mal scored 2 points, so you're nicely placed, think you're about 4th
