Re: The Last Film You Hated Thread.
The last film i really hated Doomsday, what a pile of monkey excrement. All i can say about it is how does a astra diesel van catch up to a bentley continental on a reasonably straight clear road? I will tell you only in the mind of some stupid american. I will now step off my soapbox!

Re: The Last Film You Hated Thread.
oh i think i dl doomsday cuase it sounded promising... (no offense to anyone scottish, but cornering off a massive chuck of land and filling it with zombies could have done well) but i think i remember people went in and had troubles with one tribal bunch getting captured etc, then escaped and raninto a medeval bunch got captured escaped... i was expecting them to get captured by a third time/space cliche like robots but the film ended.

I thought "Cloverfield" was an excellent film. A very well-done and refreshing take on the standard monster movie. The monster was very unique and many of the action sequences were pretty awsome.

I was debating watching Marley and Me as I liked the book but if the film sucks I will give it a miss. Wanted my wife to watch it to see that the Sibe she made me get rid of wasn't so bad a dog after all.

The last film I hated was Transformers. I love the 80's movie and cartoons but didn't like the new film. The transformers looked like metal cave trolls and Shia Lebueff is a bad bad actor. The transformation animations were pretty cool though

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, utter wank. Turned it off after 30 mins as it was clearly going nowhere fast.

Re: The Last Film You Hated Thread.
fear and loathing isn't that bad - book is better and the one with Depp is a bit better than the one with Bill Murrary from the late 70's.
The Mist wasn't that bad the end was brilliant though - but I won't spoil it.
Now for mine - watched Jason X last night what utter crap - now you might be thinking hmmm Jason Voorhees in space should say it all really and so it should but f**k me it doesn't get much worse than this. I like my sci-fi, my apocalyptic (we are all going to f'ing die) and my horror and this was none of these - even if it had two of the actresses from Andromeda.
First I'm expected to believe that someone in the future could buy off Jason's murderous rage with some money and fame and oh look he only wanted his machete back
I can suspend my belief for a couple of hours but the Jasonator are you sheetin' me - I'm expected to swallow that some nanotech machine 400 years in the future is going to accept an override from Jason in reassembling his body with metal because there isn't enough normal cellular residue to reconstitute him. I'm more willing to accept the premise in The New Barbarians about a bunch of gay Templers roaming the apocalyptic wasteland in little dune buggies looking for tush.
oh and I haven't even got to the bit where Jason and the Tony Todd look alike actor come flying through the atmosphere of Earth 2 and 2 people sitting near a lake make a wish on the shooting star - which of course is Jason and guess what it lands in a lake must be Crystal lake 2 on Earth 2. utter toss

actually what was funnier is when the two girls stood topless in front of him and told him how much they just love casual premarital sex and he had a twitching glint in his eye - okay so fair enough the sleeping bag style pillow fight with the tree was funny but not enough to redeem the film in any way at all
Re: The Last Film You Hated Thread.
I remember that bit
I havn't seen it since it came out but it was that bad you only need to see it once if that. I have the new Friday the 13th to watch thought it might have gone a bit more gritty but it's still parodying it'self by the look of the first 10 mins

Re: The Last Film You Hated Thread.
not seen it but last night had to purge myself of the processed cheese schmeeze of Jasonator and the "I don't know what the hell is going on" Mister Lonely and watched a bit of Bay of Blood aka Twitch of the Death Nerve and you know what Friday the 13th Pt. 2 directly ripped off the death bed double skewer scene from this 1970's Italian classic - it's also set at a remote lakeside location hmmmm
Re: The Last Film You Hated Thread.
okay saw this a few nights ago absolute drivel and its taken me that long to calm down enough to put my thoughts about the whole ordeal in order
All the Boys Love Mandy Lane
Giallo it "ain't"
as the film is so horrible I am going to substitute the characters from Pretty in Pink to tell you about the film because the reality is its closer to the truth than you might think
Duckie (Jon Cryer) as we all know as a thing for his best friend Andie (Molly Ringwald) - but then everybody has a thing for Andie as all the boys love Andie
so while Steff (James Spader) and Blane (Andrew McCarthy) along with some of their other posh popular friends take Andie to Blanes summer ranch in the hopes of popping her cherry...someone else has other plans
so after some dope smoking and lager swilling and badly played game of truth or dare it comes to be group knowledge that Steff has the smallest penis in the group and after about 15 minutes of the constant going on about his shortcomings - you may find yourself wishing that the stalker would just come and cut it off so that he really had something to complain about.
unfortunately though he's not the first victim - the first is one of the rah-rah dirty girls who is supposedly fat as proclaimed by her equally dirty slutty rah-rah friend- that is if a size 8-10 is fat and explains why so many young girls are adverse at sticking anything down their throat but their finger - ends up being forced to give head to a shotgun until her jaw snaps - this is after giving but not receiving oral sex from Steff in order to make him feel more secure about his shortcomings. Steff doesn't want to perform oral sex on dirty overweight slutty cheerleader as he just wants to test drive Andie.
So after weight challenged girl forcibly slobbers on metal, Steff gets it and then so does this other jock - but he's a nice jock - like the nice one in 16 candles and then you find out - duh no surprise here - it's Duckie that is doing the killing
so after some supposed teen bonding with the caretaker who instead of trying to make friends with said teens should be pointing his finger at them like crazy old man in Friday the 13th crying out "you're doomed, you're all doomed" before hoping on a bicycle (or in this case bull) and peddling away rather quickly...of course he doesn't he's hanging out.
Duckie gets to exact his revenge on Blane - because the only one getting into Andie's pants is him because he IS her best friends after all. Then you find when 90210 Jennie Garth wannabe comes running up to Andie - Andie stabs her and you find that Andie and Duckie have been working together to kill the popular kids
and for what purpose...some jocks wanted to sex her up
and then in case that wasn't enough of a twist - and after Duckie and Andie share a kiss - they turn on each other and Andie kills Duckie and rides off with supposedly dead caretaker-rancher who actually isn't dead
and I'm sitting there on the sofa thinking WTF - turn to The Hubb and demand to know what the hell just happened and how exactly does he intend to repay me the 90 something minutes that was just stolen from my life never to be regained again and I stand up - I pace around - I have a good rant and I mean a really good rant for about 20 minutes about what I have been subjected to errrrrr...the Jasonator was better than this and that is saying ALOT

ah yesss a little insane Hopper should do the trick well in theory - but then when I went to pubs those are the type of guys I would normally attract explains why I am a homebody now
Re: The Last Film You Hated Thread.
Hopper is amazing too bad he just doesn't get the roles these days. I mean he was just hamming it up in Land of the Dead and it made me sad.
I watched the rest of that Friday13th and it wasn't all that bad a very big nod to the series in general and felt like the earlier films so I was quite happy with it. Really long sex scenes, some really funny deaths and people smoking weed. It's about as much a Jason film as anyone could have hoped for. Still think you could do something really gritty with the story but thats too much to ask from Jason, still the new Freddie Kreuger film could be alright even if they have replaced Robert Englund!!!!!!! Surely as he gets older he gets better at the role

isn't that the truth - kind of lost interest in Hopper after the whole TMNT thing
never really a Jason or Krueger fan but as The Hubb is a serious collector of all video nasties and bad ones I'm subjected to them all - the thing is with all those films you just know its going to be bad - like watching student films
saw a film last night that was a bit weird Hayley (friggin' Pollyanna) Mills (actually it's her sister Juliet) as the mother of demon spawn - 1970's Exorcist / Omen Italian rip (The Devil Within Her) aka Beyond the Door
the best bit was some 9-10 year girl telling her brother "hey cut it out man you wake up mom and that's a bad trip" - what kind of Lucky Charms were they feeding her
Re: The Last Film You Hated Thread.
I film that was suppossed to be a horror, called The Children, pile of poo! not scary in the slightest, although i keep my daughter at arms length now lmao..
rating 0/10 not scary, not thrilling, crap effects, wooden acting..
