Rate the last film you watched

I highly recommend "Jerome Bixby's The Man From Earth" (or just "The Man From Earth"). It's a sci-fi movie without special effects. Takes place mostly in a single room, a group of people, and a lot of talking. But very thought-provoking and interesting. If you are a Star Trek fan, you will get an added bonus.

just rewatched kpax, sort of sci - fi, but not, but maybe is, then again maybe not LOL

Very cool, and nicely shot. Great soundtrack and keeps you guessing. Top film.

just watched for the third time Rise of the Footsoldier class film

Watched Close Encounters of the Third Kind for the first time last night.

Actually quite enjoyed it. Not a bad transfer to Blu-ray for a film that old, though there is obviously some very grainy footage. Special efffects better than I thought they would look.

quality film, made me chuckle on numerous occasions

ive only just finished watching the aliens series, well 3 1/2 because i fell asleep watching alien resurrection and couldnt be arsed to finish watching it the following day...
im now watching the bbc planet earth and its awesome i say a few joints with David Attenborough along with outstanding doco = one chilled out state!.!>

just finished blue planet by attenborough, great series. Is it the full land set you got there Villager?

there is 6 discs all together, i got the blue planet too, also a awesome doco..

9/10 - quality B movie stuff from the 70's - stars David Carradine and Sly Stallone, they made a re make recently with jason statham in - worth a watch if bored, made me laugh a few times

Children of Men - 8/10

Saw this on ITV 4 last night when I was trying to sleep. Seen it before and thought it was good, but on second viewing I think its better. Its the little details that I liked, as well as the plot. Mainly, Clive Owen was wandering around in a London 2012 Top, you saw glimpses of disasters on the news (New York getting Nuked), as well as likeable characters. Don't know why but I really liked 'Sid'. Definitely worth having a look at if you see it on TV any time.

Quantum of Solace 2 / 10.

Finally got round to watching it this weekend and I now feel as though someone stole 2 hours of my life that I'm never getting back!

I was brought up watching all the bond movies and loved all the toungue in cheek humour, loads of gratuitous naked female lovelies and especially all his great gadgets all of which are missing from this pile of rot.

I know Desmond Llewellyn has sadly left us and John Cleese wasn't....brilliant but even so.

To quote Stephen Fry this film was a load of bum gravy and loose stool water.

I used to defend Daniel Craig as the new JB but now I'm taking it all back.

The Mrs got in House Bunny as her choice of film and even that was better than QofS....which is saying something!
