someone else was recently singing the praises of last.fm (that and twitter) but ive still not fully understood, i always get distracted so i dont sign up to these things.

I find last.fm really useful for finding new music. If you can find someone with high compatibility it's also really great, because you can sometimes find new music via them. I must admit though, out of all my friends, only one person has a high compatibility with me.
